• Herman's age is given here as 60 (with a birth date of May 1840), but according to Gladys (Schwartz) Kaminsky's family history he was born in 1828; assuming that's correct, in 1900 he was actually 71 or 72.
• The year of immigration for all six family members is given as 1886 -- if correct, this would mean they immigrated the year after Benjamin (whose naturalization papers show he arrived in 1885).
• Herman's occupation is Tailor; the occupations of his wife Esther and all three daughters is Embroidery; the occupation of their son Samuel is Printer.
• Herman's citizenship is listed as "Al" (alien).
• For "Can read", "Can write", and "Can speak English" it says "no" for Herman and Esther and "yes" for all their children.
• The address is 738 Sixth St. (See this address today in Google Maps.) The census form doesn't say "East" or "West", just "Sixth Street," but a nearby page in the census covers Avenue D, which is near the block which today contains 738 East Sixth Street.)
• This is the same address listed for Benjamin Schwartz on his and Julia Weiss's marriage certificate two years earlier (in 1898).
• On the same page of the census form, at the same address but in a different apartment, there is a Morris Schwartz with his wife Gussie. I do not believe this to be Herman's son Morris (Benjamin's older half-brother), as I have found a census record for him in Rochester the same year as this (1900), where the children's names match the names in Gladys (Schwartz) Kaminsky's family tree.
