• This 1930 census form shows Benjamin Schwartz (age 56) and Julia (Weiss) Schwartz (age 52) with three of their children: Daniel (age 21), Ruth (age 17), and Gladys (age 11). In another apartment in the same building (1810 Trafalgar Place, Bronx) is another of their children, Mae (also known as Mabel). Mabel (Schwartz) Weinberg [Ruth's older sister] is living with her husband, Max Weinberg and their baby son Daniel.
• Under Occupation and Industry: for Benjamin Schwartz it says "Cutter" and "Cloaks & Suits"; for Daniel Schwartz it says "Clerk" and "Silk House"; for Ruth Schwartz it says "Stenographer" and "Furriers Union"; for Max Weinberg it says "Agent" and "Insurance."
