SAMUEL BLACK AND ANNA FINKELSTEIN - MARRIAGE - 1914
NOTES:
- Here's a description of this record from ancestry.ca:
New York, New York, Marriage Indexes 1866-1937 about Samuel Black
 Name: Samuel Black
 Gender: Male
 Marriage Date: 7 Jun 1914
Marriage Place: Manhattan, New York, USA
 Spouse: Annie Finkelstein
 Certificate Number: 14380

- Received by mail from the New York City Municipal Archives, October 2014.
- It must be the right people, as it contains the following facts that match information on the census:
 -- their ages
-- the groom's occupation ("neckware operator"; this is similar to the censuses which say "Neckware Fact." and Operator, neckwear" and just "Neckwear")
-- the first name of the bride's mother (Sarah).
- This document provides information about Samuel's and Anna's parents! Samuel Black's father = Abraham; Samuel Black's mother = Lizzie Schandeles; Anna Finkelstein's father = Joseph;
Anna Finkelstein's mother = Sarah Siegel.
- Samuel's age = 25; Anna's age = 22.
- Both are listed as white, single, and born in Russia (for Anna this ought to have said Romania), and this is the first marriage for each of them.
- Both Anna and Samuel have the address 248 East Houston St. See 248 East Houston today in Google Maps. Note: their address is given as 246 East Houston (just next door) in the 1915, 1920, and 1925 censuses
- Although the transcription says "Annie" the form actually appears to say "Anna".
- It includes the signatures of the bride and groom, and also two witnesses.
- The names of the witnesses are something like I. (?) Rosenberg and Isidor (?) Glickerman (?).
