Some addresses of Joseph Black and his ancestors
- 177 East Houston St., Manhattan: This address on the Lower East Side appears in the ship manifest for Anna Finkelstein and her mother Sarah (Sura) when they immigrated in 1904, as the address of the relative they are going to join, Anna's brother (Bernard?).

- 329 Arch St., Philadelphia, Philadelphia: This is the address of Abram Blech (Samuel's father, Joe's grandfather) as of May 1905, as indicated on the passenger manifest for the voyage of Samuel and two younger sisters.

- 105 Rivington St.: This is the address (on the Lower East Side of Manhattan) given for Abram Blech [Samuel Black's father] in three 1905 passenger manifests for Abram's wife, Leia Blech (two manifests for voyages on which she did not sail, and one for her actual voyage in July 1905). In one of the manifests it appears to say "c/o A. Harnan, 105 Rivington St."

- 215 Chelsea St., East Boston: This is the crossed-out address that appears in the 1904 ship manifest for Anna Finkelstein and her mother Sarah (Sura), as the address of Anna's brother (Bernard?) whom they were going to join. It was crossed out and replaced by 177 East Houston (in Manhattan); this probably means that Anna's brother moved from Boston to New York between the time he bought steamship tickets for his mother and sister and the time they arrived.

- 246 East Houston St., Manhattan: A couple of blocks east of Katz's and across the street, this is where Samuel (Sam) Black and his wife Anna (Annie) Finkelstein Black lived with their son Joseph (Joe), as well as Anna's mother Sarah, at the time of the 1915, 1920, and 1925 censuses (and this address also appears on Samuel's 1917 draft registration and baby Lillian's 1923 death certificate). This precise address doesn't seem to exist anymore (?), but we took some photos nearby, in July 2015.
