"The Saga of the Organic Vegetable Delivery"

I wanted to be healthy               C
I wanted to eat right                F  G
Then I saw the brochure              F  C
It was really quite a sight          D  G

It said they'd bring me produce      C
Delivered to my door                 F  G
Each piece grown so perfectly        F  C
That I'd want more and more          G  C

When that box was delivered
I couldn't wait to eat
Endive, kale, and turnip
And bok choi and sea beet

I found it overwhelming
And felt a touch of sorrow
"Tonight", I said, "I'll go to bed,
Then cook this stuff tomorrow"

Tomorrow came and went
I did what I was able
But that big crate of vegies
Kept sitting on the table

It's not something I'm proud of
But the truth is what I tell
After another weekend
It all started to smell
